10.  The Wentworth Valley Camping Ground is situated on the Wentworth River and entrance to the track up to the enormously popular Wentworth Falls.  The river is beautiful, always alive and clean.  The walk up to the falls is a relatively easy 1.5hr round trip with gorgeous swimming holes to dip into on the way.  Being an old gold mining area there are also bush walks to the gold mine tunnels and up to the abandoned mining town where you can get an insight into a time of triumph and tragedy.  At night you can enjoy spotlighting the nocturnal animals and enjoying all the many glowworms that live here.  As we are only 10 minutes from town it is easy to get to the fabulous beach and shopping area. This DOC camp is a wilderness park and although there aren’t any powered sites it is frequented by camper vans and buses and of course many tenters.  We have hot showers and a covered gas BBQ area.  There are sinks for washing up in with running water.  You can choose to camp right on the river or for larger groups in one of the open paddocks or relax at one of the many bushy sites, hidden away from the world to sit back and enjoy the birds and mother nature. 68. We have a classic  A frame beach house at Pauanui (30 min from Whangamata) available for rent for the duration of the Beach Hop. It has 3 bedrooms plus a room that could sleep 2-3 right at the top of the A. Bedroom 1 Queen Bed. Bedroom 2  2 Bunks (single) 1 single Divan Bed. Bedroom 3  1 single bed 1 roll out bed under it Lounge has double Sofa Bed. Large deck off Lounge, off street parking. We have just reclad and put new joinery in as well as remodelled toilet and Laundry area so there are some small areas of just bare gib board. 69. I have a very lovely pavilion available to Beach Hop visitors. Our contemporary two bedroom, private pavilion is available for the Beach Hop and I would also offer our double garage should the guests require their classic cars to be under cover.  We live inside the gated community at Lakes Resort and although it is not Whangamata, it may suit someone who has not been able to source accommodation in Whanga. People who come and stay here absolutely love the tranquillity, privacy, views, sun, and open spaces. We have the following:-One Queen bed + 1 split King, One Queen bed + 2 single beds, Shared bathroom, Sitting Room with view to the Pinnacles, bush, forestry, golf course, Flat TV, Separate entry, Kitchenette with mini-bar frig, full crockery, etc, Luxury tea/coffee beans, Espresso machine, Beautiful linen etc., Art., Sunny courtyard with vistas all around, BBQ available,  Lap pool and tennis courts available on Resort  (although I would say that most Beach Hop visitors would be following the Beach Hop).  Standard Tariff rate for the Pavilion- $230.00 per night – four people maximum.
