BH Accommodation

It is a fact that accommodation in Whangamata is at a premium for the Beach Hop. However Beach hop 10 is outside the school holiday perdiod so more houses should be available for short term rental. We have asked landlords to be reasonable when setting rates and mininum night stays. If you think someone is being unreasonable then please let us know! If you have some accommodation available and would like to advertise it then please  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it to email us.

We suggest you start by trying some of these business accommodation providers:

1.  Rent a holiday home – these are usually fully furnished and can sleep large groups. Contact any of the local Real Estate businesses such as Whangamata Real Estate, Ray White or First National.  Click here for contact details. Or call Whangamata Real Estate 0800 658 491.
Click here to check out the Beach Hop Accommodation First National Rentals

2.  Place and advert for Accommodation Wanted  in the Coastal News, our local newspaper. Email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or call 07 865 6012

Rent your own private holiday home for the Beach Hop with Bachcare. Bachcare is New Zealand’s leading full service holiday home rental and management company. We offer the largest range of holiday homes for rent throughout the Coromandel.

3.  There are a number of small towns all within 45 minutes drive that offer accommodation – Pauanui, Tairua, Thames, Whiritoa and Waihi Beach are worth checking out. Whitianga is about 70 minutes away from the Beach Hop.

4.  Try doing a search on "Google"! We did and here is what we found:

2012 Entry Update
Well we’ve passed the 800 vehicle mark in record time - and we thought the economy was supposed to be slowing down! This means we have room for just 200 more cars at the festival. And the trends are continuing – lots of cars we haven’t seen at the Festival before, including some major winners from the recent NZHRA National Hot Rod Show in Hawera. What a thrill it will be to see these stunning cars cruising the streets during the event. Nearly 70 cars from the South Island have entered, and another new trend we’ve notice is the number of vehicles entered by females appears to be on the rise! If you haven’t entered yet, then we suggest you do ASAP as the festival will sell out – that is a fact. You can enter online at our website http://www.beachhop.co.nz
