Entry Update – The Final 50!
We are down to the final 50 car entries for the full 5 day Standard Pass. This is an amazing response and we thank you all for your support. We’re sure that the final 50 will be gone very soon, and from then on entry will be on application only. There are always special cases so we do make some exceptions in special cases. And get this – at least 97 women have entered cars under their name – way to go girls!
Entry Draw Winners
All entries received before Dec 15 went into the draw for 2 copies of Steve Holmes wonderful book the “Kiwi Hot Rodders Guide To Life”. Congratulations to Laurence Roy of Whangarei and Chris Jones from New Plymouth – your books will be in the post to you next week!
2011 Hop Idol Winner A Star
Previous winners of the Hop Idol have gone onto great things, none more so than 2009 winner Freddy Fargon, who is now an international star and based overseas. However this year’s winner, 15 year old Niklas Hansen, has really hit the big time. Last weekend he performed 2 songs at the Coca-Cola Christmas in the Park held at the Auckland Domain! Congratulations Niklas – and we bet you will enjoy watching your performance on the Sony Bravio TV you won when it is shown on TV3 7pm this Sunday. You can check out the performances here

Promo Car Update
We are making great progress! Sterling Brake & Clutch in Onehunga have just completed an overhaul of brakes on the “black car”. Our thanks go to Ollie, Stu & Simon for the excellent work they have done. Next up are the new Ridler brand wheels supplied by BG Marketing and Dunlop tyres supplied by Hauraki Tyre & Battery in Thames.
Greenlane Pitstop have finished the beautiful exhaust system on the “yellow car” – big thumbs up to Lance & team for this. The “yellow car” is now back at CR Panel Shop for refitting the body to complete the floor, recess the fire wall, mount the gas tank and seat etc. We can not speak highly enough of Simon, Carolyn, John, Tony & Jody – nothing fazes this team! Stay tuned for more updates…
