1963 Buick LeSabre Station Wagon
401cu Nailhead V8 engine
Dynaflow Automatic
58,010 Miles
All original
California car

We've just returned from our 1 month promo tour of the USA... check out the photos!

The Buick as delivered to the Motel on arrival in the USA. No surprises... the car was exactly what we expected.

Heading out of LA we stopped by Mooneyes to make some purchases.... Notice the sign writing?

At Kiwi Fabrication & Restoration in Reno, Nevada we lowered the front and rear suspension.

Looks much better!

Front and rear ends lowered... time to hit some car shows!

They gave us prime parking at the Bonanza Casino Car Show!

The lowest car on the block - Hot August Nights, Downtown Reno, Nevada

At Hot Augut Nights we bumped into this man....

And a couple of his mates - Potsie and Ralph

Next up was the Bonneville Nationals Speedweek....

Sunrise on the Salt... a very special time and place.
And then it was back to LA!

Back in LA and in 48 hours we did the Garden Grove Car Show, Donut Derilects Breakfast, Anti-Donut Breakfast, MOFO's Charity Show, Pomona Swapmeet and NHRA Museum! As you can see this car has been highly visible at many USA car shows and clocked over 3000 miles in 4 weeks - without any major problems.

We finally delivered the Buick to Famous Autos USA based agent Titan International in LA ready for its journey to New Zealand....

Just 1 month after we dropped the Buick off in LA it arrived safely at Famous Pacific Shipping's Auckland facility! Notice the green decal on the windscreen? It sailed through the MAF inspection as we gave it a thorough cleaning in the USA - we didn't want to import anything nasty!

Parked outside FPS in Auckland and ready for its journey to Whangamata.

But on the way we stopped by BG Marketing to check wheel sizes. Harry tries a set of 17x8" - PLEASE NOTE - the Buick will be getting new 1 piece alloy Cragar SS wheels - they are on their way from the USA just for us!

Saturday we stopped by the Te Aroha Cruise In car show before heading to....

Matamata Panel Works! The crew did a great job on the BH09 Mustangs and are going to work their magic on the Buick....

Malcolm inspects the car and marks areas that need repair - mainly just the bottoms of the doors.

A little area near the tail gate.

We are also wanting the car fairly smooth so these will be removed and filled...

The team removes one of the doors and cuts out the rusted area.

46 years have taken their toll on this section.

Another section of the rear door is removed and new metal welded in place.

These guys make it look too easy! Well they are professionals after all...

We popped into Matamata Panel Works today to check out the progress - WOW! This wagon is going to be 1 smooth ride....

Thanks to Malcolm and Ian for the fantastic work they have done so far!

Ron and his son Andrew from Custom Auto Glass visited Matamata Panelworks and removed the glass ready for painting.... Ron is also supplying not only a new tinted windscreen, but also new window and door rubbers for the Buick!

They make it look easy!

And then it was all done! All glass removed..... Thanks Ron!

Sorry, it's been a while since we last updated the website with new on the Buick. But as you can see, the crew at Matamata Panel Works have been very busy!

They've even cleaned up the firewall and inner fenders. The engine will be blinged out thanks to HPC at a later stage.

Unmasked and pushed outside the paint shop at Matamata Panel Works. The House of Kolor Tru Blue Pearl and Snow Frost white pearl look STUNNING!

Den from Den's Rod Shop fits the 17" 1 piece alloy CRAGAR SS wheels....

WOW! They really suit the wagon and the GOODYEAR tyres are a perfect combo.

The doors are stripped for priming.

And the front fenders too.

It is thirstry work!

And it is taking its toll on the team.... WAKE UP!

The panels are primed...

House of Kolor Tru Blue Pearl goes on.....

The doors painted and fitted outside Matamata Paintworks - across the road from Matamata Pamelworks.

The color really suits the wagon...

The grill, headlights and hood trim have been fitted - sorry about the poor cellphone photo!

Custom Autoglass supplied a new windscreen and rubber kit for the Buick. They can source quality USA made rubber kits for most makes & models.

Ron carefully places the new tinted windscreen in place....

New door rubbers are fitted.

Ron finishes up by installing the rear windows.
WELL DONE RON & CUSTOM AUTOGLASS!

Greig and the team at Matamata Paintworks gives the Buick a final polish....

And here is the Buick back in Whangamata! Next up is a new set of springs all round. The car will sit 1.5" higher in the front.
This wonderfull wagon could be yours!
