We are jumping a bit ahead here - Orb at the Hog Farm is working too quick and we haven't uploaded his work in progress photos yet....
Orb has his own special way of pulling a bike apart....
And it is VERY effective! He had the bike apart in no time.... Please note: No animals were hurt in this exercise.
But we just couldn't resist these photos taken last Sunday!
Orb has nailed it - a true 50s style Bobber. Can't wait to see it painted the same House of Kolor True Blu pearl.
Beach Hop crew member Bobbie trys it out for size....
Orb holds up a sample of how the exhaust will look.
Ready to start assembly... the paint is House of Kolor Tru Blue Pearl by Thames Auto Painters and the upholstery is white leather with blue metalflake vinyl inserts by Bill Fryer at Meads Auto Trimmers in Matamata.
The crew carefully lift the 1200cc (74cu) engine into place.
The triple tree, risers and Z bars are installed.
Dennis, Orb, Lance and Bobbie fit the rear wheel. Not the guard and seat base are installed.
After 24 hours we reached this point and Dennis takes it for a for a spin. Note we are still waiting on the front wheel to be fitted. Otahuhu Chrome Platers did an awesome job of the exhaust pipes.
