PART 3....

Today we loaded the Roadster onto a trailer and transported it from Thames Auto Painters to our workshop in Whangamata.... And the first chance to look it outside!







The new Personalised Plates will stay with the Roadster. We also have HOP 2 for the Buick and HOP 3 for the Harley - Thanks to Personalised Plates!



We lifted the body off once again and Rod Wills from the Redneck Rod Shop made a start on running new brake lines using parts supplied by Sterling Brake & Clutch.


Rod really knows his stuff, has good quality tools and works VERY fast!




It was soon time to bleed the brakes using CASTROL brake fluid.....


And empty Lion Red bottles are great for collecting the bled brake fluid!


With the brakes finished to was time to assemble the "temporary" engine. Baldrick from Repco Wairau Rd attachs the new chrome engine mounts.


Daryl from ROAR STREET & SKATE and Gavin from Whangamata Service Centre carefully lift the engine into the chassis - NO SCRATCHES!


The finished chassis with driveshaft, steering, trans cooler and alternator installed and ready for the body to be refitted.....


Easy does it.....


The body is on for the final time without a scratch.

Next we will be fitting the radiator, seatbelts, gear shift, exhaust and wiring.... VERY CLOSE TO FIRING IT UP!
